The tactical axe is similar in shape to the Tomahawk.

This axe gained some respect among SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), elite units trained to carry out high-risk operations that fall outside the capabilities of regular officers, such as hostage rescue, the fight against terrorism and operations against heavily armed criminals.

As a result of this tactical axes are manufactured.

There are several types intended to serve as a tool for various purposes:

• there are models whose handle is designed as a lever,
• with notches to cut ropes more easily,
• with cuts in the head that allow its use as a key or
• models with a wider and heavier head to open doors.

Thanks to this versatility, it is also very useful as a survival tool in mountain locations and in extreme situations.
